A 50th Anniversary Celebration
Film
Screening & Guest Panelists Scheduled
March
1 at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center
NEW
YORK, N.Y. - - At 8:00 p.m. on March 1, Alice
Tully Hall at Lincoln Center will host a
Paramount Pictures and MODA
Entertainment-sponsored screening of a new
35mm print of the classic western SHANE,
starring Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van
Heflin, Brandon De Wilde and Jack Palance.
Hosted by Morgan Freeman, the
gala evening’s special guest speakers include
Alan Ladd’s sons Alan Ladd, Jr. and David
Ladd, George Stevens, Jr., son of director
George Stevens, and Jack Palance. John Mulholland, writer/director of an up-coming SHANE
documentary, will also speak.
The
presentation will mark the 50th
anniversary of SHANE, nominated for six Academy
Awards and considered by many among the best
westerns of all time.
Travel
