Alan Ladd and Brandon deWilde star in George Stevens' classic western "Shane," which is having a 50th-anniversary screening Monday night at 8 at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. Included will be a never-before-seen alternative ending, in which deWilde says "Goodbye, Shane!" instead of the famous line "Come back, Shane!" Morgan Freeman will host the event, which will include appearances by Alan Ladd Jr. and his brother David Ladd, as well as George Stevens Jr. and film historian John Mulholland.
